Jim Hogg County Courthouse

The 1913 Jim Hogg County Courthouse is the only courthouse the county has ever had. Designed by San Antonio architect Henry T. Phelps, it has been remodeled several times and it's an icon in the Hebbronville skyline.

Vaquero Capitol of Texas and the USA

Since 1883 Hebbronville has enjoyed a solid reputation as the country’s largest cattle-shipping center and, to this day, the area still stands as a major ranching center. This explains why Hebbronville also holds the title of “Vaquero Capitol of Texas and the USA”.

Scotus College

In 1926, Scotus College, a Franciscan seminary moved to Hebbronville from Mexico to escape persecution. It could accommodate up to twenty students preparing for the priesthood.

Public Announcement Regarding Raven Petroleum

It is my recommendation that if you are planning to seek employment or want to become a vendor with Raven Petroleum,  who will be operating as the South Texas Energy Complex in Duval County, that you REGISTER on their web site; Ravenpetro.com (There is an employment opportunities tab and a tab for companies to register as well.)

Additionally the TRI-County Consortium made up of Jim Hogg, Webb, Duval county representatives, along with Texas Workforce Solutions, Laredo Community College, Texas A&M International, and the Laredo Industrial Foundation, will be scheduling workshop sessions for local businesses and job fairs in all three counties as well. These activities will come very soon but it would be to your advantage to register on their web site now! “Let’s Cease the Moment”

Sincerely
Humberto Gonzalez

County Judge
